Built an app with Lovable, Bolt or Replit? How to keep improving it

Lovable, Bolt and Replit are great at the first version. You describe an app, and a few hours later it's live. Then real people start using it. They find bugs. They ask for things. And every fix becomes another long chat with the builder, hoping it doesn't break something that already worked.

That's normal. Building the first version and keeping a live app improving are different jobs. Here's how to do the second one.

Why it gets harder after launch

  • The app is bigger now, so each change touches more of it.
  • Real users and real data mean a broken change hurts someone.
  • Fixes come in one at a time, from many places, and they pile up.
  • You're the only one who remembers what was changed and why.

1. Put your code where you can keep it

All three tools let you connect your app to GitHub. Do it. Your code then lives in one place you own, with a history of every change. Whatever you use next, a person or an AI agent, starts from there.

2. Write down what the app is for

One short paragraph: who uses it and what it should do for them. It keeps every change pointed the same way, and it saves you explaining the app from scratch each time.

3. Turn the pile into small tasks

"Fix the signup" is hard to get right. "Show an error when the email is already taken" is easy. Write each bug or request as one small task you could explain in two sentences. Small tasks are easier to check and easier to undo.

4. Test before anything goes live

The fastest way to lose users is to fix one thing and break another. Each change should pass the app's tests before it ships. If your app has no tests yet, make adding them one of your first tasks.

5. Approve the work, and let agents build it

This is where NimbleHQ comes in. It works on the code in your own repository. You add your app as a project with a plain description, then write tasks or approve ideas the product agent suggests. AI agents build each approved task, run the tests and ship it to your live app. If something is unclear, the builder asks you one plain question instead of guessing.

You don't sit in a chat window. One email each morning tells you what shipped, what's stuck and which ideas are waiting. Approve a few, and your app keeps improving on the days you're busy.
